Faces in the Stones
I see the trolls, tupilaks etc. as lichen covered gargoyles hidden high up in the shadows on this cathedral wall.

This has to be the most gorgeous bracelet I've seen for some time BB.
I absolutely love the colours and the mix of stones with glass.

The Bead of Fortune looks right at home with the other faces. This is a wonderful bracelet which shows the nature of Trollbeads at its best.

Re: Faces in the Stones
I love the section in 'Jonathon Strange and Mr Norrell' where Norrell makes the stones of York Minster speak to prove that he is a practicing magician. Some of them tell of dark tragedies and wrong doing.
'Long, long ago, (said the voice,) five hundred years ago or more, on a winter’s day at twilight, a young man entered the Church with a young girl with ivy leaves in her hair. There was no one else there but the stones. No one to see him strangle her but the stones. He let her fall dead upon the stones and no one saw but the stones. He was never punished for his sin because there were no witnesses but the stones. The years went by and whenever the man entered the church and stood among the congregation the stones cried out that this was the man who had murdered the girl with ivy leaves wound into her hair, but no one ever heard us. But it is not too late! We know where he is buried! Pull up the paving stones. Dig up his bones! Let them be smashed with the shovel! Dash his skull against the pillars and break it!Let the stones have vengeance too! It is not too late! It is not too late!'

Re: Faces in the Stones
Perfect indeed.
The silvers are so right for the theme.
I had just convinced myself that I didn't need a BOF, now I'm longing for one again.
It's a long time since I read the book, BB, but I thought it was wonderful too. Maybe I should get it out again, a good, long read for the darkening evenings.

I resisted Bead of Fortune for ages but I don't know how I lived without it.
I wish that the promised sequel to 'Jonathon Norris.....' would appear. I was in love with Childermas AND the Raven King.

I look forward to hearing the stories that you tell with your bracelets. I wish that I had more imagination!
