Paralympic Patriotism Empty Paralympic Patriotism

Post by Molamola Thu Sep 13, 2012 1:46 pm

I completely failed to get tickets for either the Olympics or the Paralympics, so as a last ditch attempt to be part of our glorious "Summer of Sport" my family and I went to the Paralympic Marathon last Sunday. We had a fantastic time, wonderful atmosphere and we got to cheer David Weir to Gold and Shelly Woods to Silver in the T54 Marathon.

In honour of the occasion I made a Union colours bracelet and minibracelet.

And here I am doing the "Trollbeads point" (i.e. not pointing at anything) during the Marathon:

(I didn't make a subsequent Scottish Saltire bracelet for the US Open because I didn't want to jinx Andy Murray Wink!)

Blooming Sakuras with reds! I wouldn't have thought of that.
Looks great, Molamola.

Energizing design and colors! Wonderful to hear you had a fantastic time!

I would've loved to have been at the Olympics as well. Being so nearby after all... DH already got just a few of the tickets for races he applied for... and oh my, the expense. Lot of beads... Laughing still... Rolling Eyes
