Fresh water pond life

This was my first troll bead bracelet, it's been redesigned many times over the years but has retained the same general theme throughout. I just adore my fish lock, he's so handsome!. It is also a bit of a nod to Charles Darwin and David Attenborough, two of my heroes. I have a bit of an evolution/life cycle chain going on there. with the brew of the moor which I think looks a bit like primal ooze. The cells which I think of as frog spawn. My tiny froglets and then the bigger frogs. And finally the duck which eats them . The glass reminds me of pondy things, waterlilies and murky waters. And the pearl, because it reminds me of how the most beautiful things can come from murky depths.

David Attenborough narrates the 'story' in my head when i play with the beads as i'm wearing it. I can hear him saying things like "as the mother duck plunges into the cool still waters of the pond, her ducklings cautiosly paddle in the protective shallows of the rushes, hidden from view of overhead predators". It's such a giggle imagining him doing a voice over for silver beads

One of my other heroes is Galileo Galilei, i would love to put together a celestial bracelet to remind me to look beyond my own world and open my mind to the bigger picture. Maybe someday after i'm done collecting ambers and vikings
