Melancholy and Cheer
Stepping out of my usual 1:1 comfort zone for these bracelets.
I had the idea for "Melancholy" years ago when I first put a Red-Pink Prism next to a Labradorite. However at that time I wasn't able to make the bracelet in my head so I turned to my friend Snork Maiden for help. Perhaps if you ask her very nicely she'll post that particular triumph for you. I still don't have all the beads to make it perfect but so far, I think it's looking good.
Then I thought, that's just too sad for Summer time, even if the weather is grey and dreach. So I made a companion bracelet following the same Gemstone/prism 2:1 theme in brighter colours.

Really like both to those MM, very unusual and attractive, are the faceted ambers the WT ones?

Yes, they are the Lithuanian Ambers. I love them, wish I had more.

Facinating colours in both but I adore Melancholy. I think it is like the underside of a butterfly's wing. I would always choose that one.

Mine too but wait 'till you see Snork's one, it was amazing, stunning Labs with a Ruby as the focal point.Brightonbelle wrote:Facinating colours in both but I adore Melancholy. I think it is like the underside of a butterfly's wing. I would always choose that one.

The cheeky turquoise prism and the whitish beads keep your melancholy combo from being too tristesse, and the cheer combo is really delightful. Both are autumnal in their own distinct way!
Thank you for remembering that combo I made on your request! There was also a fantasy necklace to go with it, but I'm afraid I couldn't remake them both at the same time now, having sold two of my red-pink prisms. Here they are:

Mmmmmmm, thanks for posting Snork. Still so lovely, always wishing I had bought more Red-pink prisms before they retired them.

Yes, I remember Snork's bracelet and necklace, it reminds me I wanted to try to copy them but never did
I like both your melancholy and your cheer bracelet, but if I had to choose, I'd go for the melancholy. I like the colour scheme and it makes me realize that I'm starting to look forward to autumn.
