Need ideas for an extender

My dragon lock flew into town last week along with a necklace chain. Necklace is just the length I like but I would enjoy wearing it sometimes as a wrap bracelet. The problem is I am about 2 inches short for a 3 wrap and way too long for a 2 wrap.

Can anyone think of a clever way to build a short extension so the necklace could be used as a bracelet?

Maybe something simple like a jump ring attached to the end of the chain and add either a small length of large linked chain which would allow your lock to be adjustable anywhere along the length of the chain? Or even just several jump rings linked together to form a chain? Or for something more secure than jump rings maybe split rings?

I've extended a necklace to wear as a wrap before with a little strip of deerskin leather attached with baby swivel clasps ~ or rings will do (it's easy to punch holes in each end with the soft deerskin or you can use a self piercing eyelet then it looks even neater and will wear better) ~ seems to add to the boho look (and the flat leather somehow looks more "by design" as opposed to bodge job than the rounded leather ).

Add an other lock the basic lock or use a pair of locks the same desin. Wear a safety chain also

We will be doing a 3-wrap chain with the fall release... these are pictures of a 'prototype' chain to see if this look is wearable, comfortable and feasible. For you it could mean you need just to add two (similar) swivel clasps to gain a few cm.

Additionally I'm happy to exchange your necklace for a version with the clasps, give me a message if you'd prefer that.

A 3-wrap bracelet/necklace usually measures 45+ cm without the swivel clasps. The version depicted measures 50cm including swivel clasps and dragon lock.

Here I just have used ordinary jump rings which I open(ed) with my nails... But the final version of this 3-wrap chain uses detachable clasps instead of these 'fixed' alternatives. Another more obvious option is using just a chain only, but I liked the look of the swivel clasps on both sides of the dragon.

Our fall release is scheduled end September/beginning October.

I used the trollbeads simple double clasp bead to add lenght to my bracelet.
