Prisms! Tell me all!

I was very fortunate to acquire a new/old prism and I adore it. It is my only prism, but I have been ogling them in the bracelet designs.

It's so hard to tell the true colors, they seem to vary. The current pink seems to have a satin sheen and there are so many red variations!
The blues & turquoises are so incredibly rich looking too; and I like the greens, yellows, lavender...lol

Do you love prisms? Which ones are your favorites? Was there ever a clear or iridescent clear?

Tell me EVERYTHING! If I start, will I be able to stop?

Prisms are so pretty....they look like candy to me...I have the purple, red/pink, turquise and (yay) the new/old pink prism....they make a bracelet sparkle...Love them!
I definately plan to get them all eventually

I have the pink prisms I bought from Beads4You and I have 2 of the LE UK prisms from Steffans. I love, love, love the prisms that I own. At my LD's, I saw a bracelet with the yellow prisms and they looked really pretty, so those may be on my wishlist for my next prism purchases.

I once had a turquoise/purple prism, but alas since I bought it online, it was not as richly colored as I liked so I passed it to another Troll lover. I would love to find a gorgy deep turquoise/purple one (and possibly a LE UK blue prism eventually...drool). good luck on your quest for prisms and from the looks of it, doesn't look like you will be able to stop at just one, kitsunegrl!!

and since (thanks to a lovely Trollfairy) I added an old pink prism to my collection.
I love prisms, use them a lot, but always mix them in. I would love to own an amber prism one day, but I guess a girl can dream :-)

Oh wow! I love that last one! It's beautiful I never used to care that much for the prisms but I really like them now, I think they really add something special to the bracelets and necklaces

Once you start you won't be able to stop. I swore I would never get any because I thought they looked plasticy but I now have 14!

I think they add wonderful texture and depth of colour to any combo and they are excellent framing beads (I love them on either side of Wisdom for example).

My favourites are the bicolour ones like Turquoise prism, Purple prism and Green prism but I also love the rich red of the Bright red prism (I have three) and the romance of the smokey Grey prism.

I love 1 or 2 on a bracelet as a sparkly accent. I only have a couple colors. Hope for a few more some day. Of the ones I have all are transparent except for one which appears to have an opaque almost metallic bronzy finish.

BTW, how do you suppose they cut or ground glass with the facets of a prism or are they just made from stone and some stone looks like glass?

Oh yes! I only have 2 bracelets and 1 is in use on my ocean theme bracelet that I don't plan to ever take apart. So this one has to be ready for new and different things. Only I need to take a pic before I do that so I can re-do it as the occasion warrants. ...and I stink at photography so I have to catch just the right light to get one. I'm really very pleased that this interesting thread coincided with the right light opportunity so I can move on.

I can see myself repeating this one. I like the way it came together too.

How luxurious to be able to do that rainbow effect! Just gorgeous and perfect with the dichroic clasp. And Chinese silvers too! Lucky girl!

All so beautiful and different! Drool! ...especially for the white one. I am so jealous of the multiples that create a symmetrical arrangement. The symmetry and colors make for a most elegant bracelet. Perfect with the delicate swan clasp.
