Scary Ocean Bracelet

I created a scary ocean bracelet because I was worried about sharks, sting rays, poisonous jellyfish and such when I have been snorkeling.    
The Kracken by Faerybeads and the octopus from Scarlet Island Amphibian provide the scary finishing touch.   The coral bead is from  http://ugnieskauke.lt/en/products/articles-for-her/silver-beads.html.   It’s a beefy bead. The last silver bead is the Alaska King Crab by Ohm Beads.  
While I was waiting for the first silver beads to arrive, I wrote a poem.  Dorothy Wallace had some beautiful glass beads that fit the poem and she was kind enough to customize a few more to complete my bracelet.

Oblivious

I am
         Addicted
                            watching the golden slope of sand massaged by tranquil waves
         Mesmerized
                             By the day’s sparkle and color and rhythm and warmth.
I remain  
          Oblivious
                            That sunlight weakens in the depths,
                            that color fades.

                            In dim gloom
                                               a predator’s graceful, liquid movements mask his power.
                                               Hunger is predictable; food is not.
                                               Power unleashed is furious, life-squelching strength.
                            In  dim gloom
                                               he survives;
                                               his hunt continues.

I remain
             Oblivious
                             That gloom fades to blackness.
                                               A skeletal predator’s scurry masks his power.
                                               Hunger is predictable, food is not.
                                               Hunger unleashed is over-whelming, crushing, crunching power.
             In the blackness
                                               he survives
                                               his hunt continues
                                                                           for life.

And I remain

               Addicted

The artistry of Faerybeads is phenomenal. She's able to create designs that are fantasy, not caricatures. Exactly how that is achieved, I haven't a clue, but it sure sets the beads apart.

I like that fact that Dorothy Wallace is able to capture the sense of motion and movement in her glass. I couldn't achieve that feeling with TB even if I could have found the range of colors.

Wow! This is amazing. I love the way the colours go from light to dark, just like they do in the deep blue/green ocean. All the silvers are great too.

You have really captured the scary ocean in your combo......can't stop studying it. Your poem is wonderful, too!

I was reluctant to post the poem.  It really IS rather goofy to be inspired by some beads, isn't it?  
However, it truly was a eureka moment for me when I saw the range of colors and textures (not the right word but you know what I mean) in the Dorothy Wallace beads.  After seeing those, I just had to push the "buy" button and write the poem.
Moral of the story, even thinking about writing a poem can be an excuse for buying beads.
