Aurora Bead - Limited Release??

Just saw on fb that the aurora bead is limited to 2500 :/

I'm not sure if this is down to the way the fb page has worded it and the set with bracelet and stoppers is limited to 2500 or there is a limited number of beads...?

I believe that about as much as I believe there were only 800 S&B kits....not!

If the bead takes off, TB will churn them out, find a lost box a la old pink prism, or some other silly story. I will never believe TB again in regards to limited or retired.

I lost all interest when I heard that the bead would be offered as part of an overpriced bangle kit. They can make as few or as many as they like. I have crossed it off my wish list.

And to prove my point, D4E just posted glorious sb kits.

They have either kept lots of the best beads back while they sold the duller ones first or have made loads more of the popular styles.

hope they mean its a limited special offer, the bangle + bead + 2 stoppers for a nice price, like a starters bracelet...not limited bead

Everything is limited somehow - may it be to a number of 1000 or 10000

I prefer limited items to be numbered individually, as was the anniversary number block silver.

da's anyone know if the aurora will be available in holland?

I really hope the Aurora bead is available without the bangle "kit". I already have a bangle, but I really NEED the bead. (My mom goes by the name "Aurora" and it looks like a simply stunning design )

Hopefully some retailers will sell them separately. D4E has done that in the past with some other things that were supposed to only be available in kits.

@Stacecase, my LD didn't know anything about the Aurora bead - and they are usually very well informed. They only had the Orange bead. So I guess they are leaving Holland out of it (again) with the Aurora bead. Shame!

Goldmine are apparently going to sell the Aurora bead without the bangle, but still for around $60 :/

Where did you found this? I asked them and this was the answer:

"Trollbeads is only allowing the beads to be sold as a set. I know that many are dissappointed by there. However, when you purchase the set ($199) we do offer $40 off in promotions. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

I hope that "kit" comes with stoppers. I don't have a bangle yet.

I am sure that 3-4 months from now, that glass will be offered by itself.

I really can't imagine why the bead would be $60. It's just glass! I could see maybe Glass II pricing because of it being exclusive, but $60 is too steep for such a bead.

I didn't see it in person, but someone on the TBGF posted a picture. It is lovely and something that totally does not match my collection! The pink in it would look lovely with the retired pink prisms.

I too wish the Aurora were available without purchasing the bangle. I'm just hoping my local dealer stocks the set, because this is a bead I would want to select in person if I have to buy a bangle to get it.
