Beware of copies of Faerybeads

As some of you have noticed and notified us, copies of Faerybeads jewelry are for sale at the Chinese marketplaces, Etsy and eBay.

Unfortunately these Chinese and Taiwanese and other Asian sellers of copies of our work don't care at all about originality nor quality and neither for us as designers and goldsmiths, and even worse they don't care at all about the people they're exploiting in those Chinese factories, which most likely even could be people from the infamous political detention camps.

People buying these copies and fakes enable these sellers to continue their horrible practices.

As these practices are not only allowed and sometimes even supported by the Chinese authorities, people buying these copies of our jewelry and any other counterfeit products made in and sold from China or Taiwan, whether offered on Chinese marketplaces, Etsy or eBay actually buy in to this system of corruption, oppression and intimidation.

We at Faerybeads abhor any kind of slave labor and child labor.

Honest good work comes at a cost. So does freedom and quality of life. In the West we still have a choice.
Don't take it for granted.

All authentic Faerybeads jewelry is solely designed, produced in, and sold from the Netherlands.

A reminder this is still happening.

Personally I've stopped buying anything that's been made in China as much as possible.

Low labor cost and (possibly) subsequent low consumer prices might be a benefit, but, by doing so, supporting an oppressive and corrupt regime that despises foreign intellectual property and sees no problem in exploiting it - next to exploiting their workforce - to the regime's benefit is the other side of the scale, and I don't want anything to do with that.
