The Holly and Oak King are the same king but with a twin soul. At Alban Arthan, the Winter Solstice in Midwinter, when the Sun begins to come back to light the world the Oak King wins the fight to rule the year and at Alban Hefin, the Summer Solstice at Midsummer the Holly King wins the fight to rule. They both rule for six months of the year, and are associated with the rites of the Solstice’s. They are both connected to fertility and the seasons.

The Oak King is amazing.  I love all the detail on his face.  Pity my family seems to be blanking Christmas.  Wish I could put him on my wants list.

Oak King is amazing.  Also is the opaque glass budded bead an artisan bead?  It's amazing also. Also the design on the back of Oak King, can you explain it? Is it vertebra and an axe?

All glass beads are Christa for Macs. But she does these if you request them from her Etsy store. The back of the Oak King displays a celtic axe which symbolizes the battle between the Oak King and the Holly King to rule the year.

If all goes as planned the beads should be available by Dec. 6th. but knowing how busy everyone is I'm likely delayed with 1-2 weeks. Tuesday I'll know more about the time frame and if the new beads can be available in two weeks I'll offer pre-ordering for those who want to order.
