Sheep´s Coldness Empty Sheep´s Coldness

Post by Trollperle Sat Jun 20, 2015 7:01 pm

In Germany we have a name for the cold spell around the middle of June: „Schafskälte“ - directly translated it means „Sheep´s Coldness“ and shepherds are advised not to shear their sheep before it has passed for otherwise the sheep would be cold. We have had the „Sheep´s Coldness“ since Thursday now, and yesterday I could not resist, I created this bangle and wore it to counteract this undue coldness. And it worked, we could BBQ yesterday evening and this afternoon and it only rained again, when our BBQ was done and ready to eat - plus there was a rainbow Smile

Hopefully your cute bracelet will continue to ward off the Schafskälte! Smile

yes Fuzzy, I have to, every year the same procedure, last year my shearing device broke down and I first have to invest in a new one, only my little machine is left and it takes ages to do it, better I do it myself than taking 5 cats to the vet (they sedate them) Fortunately it is only 5 out of 7, the Devon Rex don't need it... hi hi...

once I finished with King Carlos (the one from my Avatar) I will show you.

Yes, please share pictures Catsworld Smile

My friend shaves one of her cats in the summer as well. He usually gets a "lion cut" but she recently posted a picture of a different cat with a dinosaur cut and said she was considering it Laughing

Sheep's coldness? Love it! I know that here in Pittsburgh, it is risky planting flowers before June and sometimes into mid-June. We don't have a catchy phrase for it, though.

That sheep bangle is too cute Very Happy
It's cold and rainy here too. My freshly planted Curkuma doesn't like it - nor do I.....

Thank you my dears for your lovely comments. It is still unusually coolish and humid here, but we did have some sun today (after the thunderstorm), so the little sheep is doing her best, still Smile
