Shanghai Dragon on single leather

Hello all!

It's a long time since I've posted, and indeed a while since I've bought any beads as my Troll-mojo has been somewhat lacking

However, on Friday I paid a visit to my favourite Troll retailer and came away with a Shanghai Dragon (confession - I've never been to China but I love the look of the bead!) and a new single leather bracelet.

Here they are with a Christmas LE bead:



I love the standard bracelets, but find them uncomfortable at times to wear. The new leather, though spectacularly overpriced in my opinion, is so light that it's hardly noticeable and is a great way to show off one or two beads.

The Shanghai Dragon is a knobbly, tactile, almost abstract bead and when I got it home I realised that due to multiple holes it can be worn vertically as well as horizontally, so would be great on a fantasy necklace. It could also be used as a fantasy splitter, with care.

Well it is nice to be back with you all, I can't promise I'll be posting very often as I am quite a patchy poster, but I am loving the beads on here!

Welcome back, dear Polarchick I absolutely love the look of this - I have not yet ordered the single leather but now I am sure, I will TFS! It looks beautiful and fantastic about the holes and the versatility of the wearing possibilities of this bead (a cousin of yours is on his way to me and I, too, have not been to  China (yet), but it is a dragon and a dragon is a dragon no matter from where ).

Love this look. Gonna have to have a peak at the leather. Like that it's comfortable to wear.

thanks polarchick! so good to see a post from you too i have this one on the way w/the korean bead and you've made me quite excited (and not second guessing). love w/the LE christmas bead too seems very dragony--wouldn't've thought to use it that way. really cool!

Oooh, so beautiful! Looks much better than in the stock pictures. Now I might need a dragon.

I saw Shanghai today IRL and was blown away! He is now my fave City Bead. I don't have him yet but did buy the white leather for the summer.

I love your combo, and the Christmas bead too which a friend calls the "Christmas Cosy"!

The Shanghai Dragon was on my wish list, but now has jumped to the top !
I like the look of the new leathers, but no lock does worry me a bit, I might just buy a bit of leather and tie it in a knot 

I'm not sure if I am going to buy something from the city beads collection, but when I do it will be the dragon. He looks wonderfull. And I really like the simplicity of the leather bracelet with just two beads, great choices
