I am afraid I would have the duck broken off the first day I wore the ring. Not for me.
It will take lots of hunting to find a nice ruby rock bead.

disappointed in the colors of ruby rock, but hopeful that more variations will appear. the ring is cute, but not for me.

The more a look at the ring, the more I can't belive it's not a joke....

I saw a pretty Ruby Rock yesterday - much nicer than the ones shown here which I am not keen on - but it was very very pale grey/ beige with pale pink. Very nicely faceted. I would stress that it was pretty - but at £47 I have other gemstones I want first. If I see a really nice one, I'll get it. Certainly one to hand-pick if at all possible.

Thanks for sharing! I fell in love with the ruby rock after seeing a photo on Facebook, so maybe I'll start hunt for a perfect example.

Totally agree! To be honest, I wonder how long Trollbeads will be able to keep this up before they start losing loyal customers who are/were truely interested in (the quirkyness of) their products (if they aren't losing them already). When I went to the TB homepage just now to check out the stock pictures for the mother's day release, I thought the new background (the one with the blonde woman wearing several bracelets and the seahorse earrings) looked like a picture from a Pandora advertisement, because of the focus on the (shiny!) silvers and golds in generic shapes. I know Pandora is hugely popular, but it is not the aesthetic that tickles my fancy.

In defense of the chicken ring, it is one of few newer items that is surprising, inventive and (yes) quirky. I would never buy it though, because I don't like 'high' rings (and I am not particularly fond of the colour yellow either ).

I wait for better days.

I guess there must be some nice Ruby Rocks around but all the pics I´ve seen on the internet today were just a "piece of rock" that I certainly won´t buy for the price of a gemstone.

The Chicken ring is better than I expected, although I can't see how you could wear it without it breaking.

There wouldn't be any point to the Ruby Rock if it looked like the Ruby in the current collection. I think there will be some beautiful ones out there, just a question of sniffing them out
I'm not happy with the stock photo it is misleading why do they do that ? then when you see the bead irl you are disappointed.

Perhaps not terribly inventive, more of an interpretation of an existing type of ring, such as this.

Wouldn't the Ruby Rock look good in a combo with Crazy Lace Agates and labradorites? I agree with Fuzzyfeet that you just need to look for that diamond in the rough if those are your colors.

Thankfully, it is not my color scheme, but one never knows how tastes may change!!

I saw this rock today. It was creme and pink I did not buy it is so pale I will wait for a more pink. It looks to be good with the rocky beach pebbles beads. Also I put away a egg dangle.

Are the dangles all different, or are they like last year's eggs?

It was the same shape and the size in them is diffrent to each some big and some small. This year it is swirl like valentine and a full color in the top over the pin. I buyed a pink top with blue or lilac swirl.

I agree. You could probably say the same for the labradorite stock photo too though. There's some really nice flash on it from memory.
